12:12 and 14:10
12 or 14 hours without food, including the night. Often where people start.
The berryl fasting timer measures how long you fast: 16:8, 18:6, OMAD or your own plan. Because berryl also knows your meals, the app notices when you forgot to start and asks when you log something during a fast.
Pick a plan and the time of your last meal. The timer in the app calculates the same way: the goal is the start plus the fasting hours.
With intermittent fasting you switch between times when you eat and times when you eat nothing. The first number is the hours without food, the second your eating window.
12 or 14 hours without food, including the night. Often where people start.
16 hours without food, an 8-hour eating window, for example from 12:00 to 20:00. Selected by default in berryl.
A shorter eating window of 6 or 4 hours.
One meal a day or whole fasting days. From 24 hours, berryl shows a note and plans 8 hours for eating between two fasts.
A pure fasting app only shows you the clock. In berryl, fasting, meals and supplements are in one place. A “Fast completed” habit ticks itself off, see Habit tracker. What you eat in your eating window you count with the calorie counter, and you see protein and fiber at a glance, see Protein and fiber.
berryl only measures the time. The app does not judge whether fasting suits you and gives no advice. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have diabetes, take regular medication, have had an eating disorder or are underweight, or are under 18, talk to your doctor first.
Yes. Timer, plans, reminders and statistics are free. With Premium you also see your history beyond the last 30 days. Your longest fast stays visible without Premium too.
12:12, 14:10, 16:8, 18:6, 20:4, OMAD (23 hours), 24 h, 36 h and your own plans from 10 to 48 hours in half-hour steps.
In berryl, water, tea and black coffee do not count. Only an entry with more than 10 kcal brings up the question of whether you want to end the fast. Whether you end it is up to you.
No. You choose the weekdays yourself. A missed day is no problem, you simply start again next time.
berryl measures the time and makes no statement about it. How much you eat is shown by the calorie counter. Whether and how you fast is best discussed with your doctor or a dietitian.
berryl launches on Android first, iPhone follows. Start free, no subscription needed.
